Marilyn is the founder and CEO of The Madison Consulting Group, a boutique NYC firm specializing in employee development and training for companies worldwide. She leads with years of experience as a seasoned, skillful communicator across two wildly diverse yet highly intertwined careers: training and entertaining.
Marilyn’s corporate career began at Bank of America, where she previously served as VP of Global Information Systems, managing a highly diverse group with locations in Hong Kong, Manila, London, Tokyo, and Caracas. She later joined Learning International (now MHI Global) as a training consultant, delivering sales, management, and customer service programs throughout the country.
In 1993, she founded The Madison Consulting Group to focus on highly targeted training solutions. Her innovative customized programs and commitment to excellence began to draw the attention of premier corporations, and Marilyn now counts companies like Swiss Reinsurance, Broadridge Financial Solutions, Hearst Magazines, Citigroup and Global Crossing among her satisfied clients. Marilyn has expanded The Madison Consulting Group to a large network of high quality consultants offering a broad array of programs in the areas of leadership and management, professional development, and sales and service.
Meanwhile, Marilyn has also lived a double life as a successful cabaret singer and entertainer. Her passion for singing has taken her to Italy, where she recorded her first album and appeared on Italian television. Back in New York, she appeared with Frank Sinatra at the famous Tavern on the Green, where she recorded a live CD of her performance. She performed at upscale New York supper clubs such as Rainbow & Stars and the Algonquin’s Oak Room, singing classics from George Gershwin, Cy Coleman, and Rogers & Hammerstein, among others.
From corporate to cabaret, Marilyn has built her career on a passion for human connection and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Her diverse experience and entrepreneurial spirit provide her with a unique professional perspective—today, she holds the rare distinction of being both a member of the National Arts Club and the Association for Talent Development.
